Tips:
1. When you look for parts for older bikes, it is best to deal with
the oldest person in the shop. Usually this is the owner. But be careful,
don't insult whoever is on the phone, there may not be anyone older. The
owner can be out riding or napping and you will have to be friendly to
whomever you get.
2. If you find that the frame letter series doesn't mean anything
to your contact, you will need to be extra careful and very patient!
3. Have your part number beforehand! It wastes time for everyone
to not have these. A lot of Husky numbers are superceded in the price list
and the the parts person will say"they don't have that part anymore but
they have a substitute or replacement" or worst case they will do this
automatically and won't mention this. Just be aware that cosmetically these
replacements may not look the same. If it is a gear, who cares? But if
it is a gas cap, you may care what it looks like. This is not the fault
of the person at the parts store!
4. Working on old Huskys is a lot of fun! Be very nice to all you
deal with and you will have even more fun!
