** BE AWARE - Miura uses an 8 sided nut on the 72775 wheelbox - this is because other wheelboxes that look just the same have different threads and use 6 sided nuts. All automotive users of 72775 wheelboxes use 8 sided nut. In any case - be very cautious in threading these items together no matter what you get .

*** P400 owners will notice that the chrome is all scratched thru on their chrome bezels. This is so black paint can stick more readily to the surface. On the inside of the bezels you will notice oem black paint remains as well

comments on early P400 wiring to windshield wiper switch -
 like my p400, and i think correct -
power to Windshield Wiper  is
green from fuse block #3 fuse (switched)  goes directly to ww motor wire. (not to switch)
power for Windshield washer
yellow /black from fuse block #3 fuse (same) goes to wwash motor.

four (4+loop) wires go to ww/ww switch
red
brown
black
black/white (with short loop off)

terminal 11 on switch - red to ww motor
terminal 5 on switch - brown to ww motor
terminal 4 on switch - black/white to remote chassis ground, a loop is hanging from this that goes to switch below.

bottom switch - black to washer motor
bottom switch - black/white loop from terminal 4

 11/05/05 - Just some info concerning miura parts references & sources. - Windshield wiper system :
On car  #4635 (543), the motor it stamped 75646D
On car  #4846 (616)  (believed first SV delivered to a customer...) . On his car, the wiper motor has the same number 75646D.
But concerning what you call "wheelboxes", you mention n°72775A.
On #4635 (Sep 02, 1970) both wheelboxes are stamped  - 72714D
On #4846 (Mar 08,1971) both wheelboxes are stamped with -  72839A
